Functional Biomaterials and Smart Devices (FBSD) Research Group

FBSD is a research group under the Bio-Nano Material Science and Engineering Program, Industrial Systems Engineering Department, School of Engineering and Technology. It is supervised by Dr. Raffaele Ricco. This research group focuses on bio-based nanomaterials and composites, functional metal-oxide nanoparticles, metal-organic frameworks and other microporous systems. The current projects include the development of smart materials for agrochemicals targeted delivery, magnetic nanoparticles for water decontamination, polymer recycling, and electrochemical sensors for monitoring of biomarkers in flow.
